One Degree Asia

1°Asia is the first-ever youth leadership festival in Asia. It's where youth will gather to share ideas, make history and rock the world. 1°Asia is where youth can come to learn more about social issues and swap ideas that are important to them. 1°Asia is committed to raising awareness of social and environmental issues confronting Asia, and equipping young people with skills, knowledge and networks to address these issues.

1°Asia can be the catalyst that will inspire many more 1°s of transformation across Asia. We will team youth with local support networks that believe in the power of their potential, and who will act as a strong resource and support. We will challenge young leaders to dream bigger, create alliances, and inspire their communities to act together to help create the future.

Talentpreneur Challenge 2005

Talentpreneur Hub organised the Talentpreneur Challenge 2005 - 1st National Day Entrepreneur Competition during the National Day Carnival@Marina held at Marina South last year. Supported by Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE), the 9-day event themed Dynamic People saw many aspiring entrepreneurs pit their salesmanship skills against one another. Teams were challenged to think up creative marketing strategies in order to maximise their profits. The gruelling 9-days proved to be an enriching experience for the participants who came from all walks of life. The 8 to 12-member teams comprised of students staff from secondary schools, polytechnics, undergraduates and working adults, some of whom are current entrepreneurs themselves. The winning teams walked away with cash prizes, trophies and hampers from our sponsors.

Youth Unite!

Talentpreneur Hub supported Central Singapore Joint Social Service Centre (JSSC) in organizing their quarterly event called Rhythm of our Cultural Heritage. Themed "Youth Unite", this event aims to showcase Singapore’s youth talents, in all different areas possible and acts as a platform for youth to bring their talents to the community at large.

Supporting this community event to promote youth entrepreneurship and community service, Talentpreneur Hub rallied its members and took up 10 of 14 bazaar stalls at the event. It was a fantastic experience for all as we worked together to increase the combined sales of all 10 teams! A debrief and reflection session was conducted at the end of the event to gather the learning points amongst our members.
